Do you want to learn to play badminton?

Do you enjoy meeting people?

Are you a couch potato? - Do you want to become more active?

Well we have the solution:- You will need a

  • badminton racquet,
  • a pair of non marking sandshoes,
  • and a few dollars in small change each week.  (Varies but no club charged more than $3.50 a week for the Winter Season 2006- depends largely on hall hire)

The Ulverstone Districts Badminton Association Inc. offers probably one of the cheapest sports about. We encourage anyone who is reasonably well and fit enough to move around a badminton court to have a go.

Age is no barrier. Beginners are especially welcome.  Our Association has clubs participating from: North Motton, Gunns Plains, Abbotsham, Sprent & Kindred.  Games are generally played on Monday nights.  Matches start at 7.30 pm and the night ends 10.30 - 11pm.    At the end of the night, both teams participate in an old fashioned favourite - having a chat over drinks and supper.

We would encourage anyone wishing to form teams from other country areas to contact the Secretary/Treasurer Wendy McMullen on 64253027 or 0419507437.

Winter Roster commences towards the end of April beginning of May.

Country Halls that are currently available if you wish to form your own team and particpate are:

  • Turners Beach
  • Wilmot
  • Forth
